From May 8 to 10, the 2026 China Brand Day Sichuan event took place in Chengdu. Representing 39 less-developed counties across the province, Cangxi County brought its distinctive local specialties to the “39 Counties Bazaar” — a dedicated exhibition area showcasing the finest agricultural products from the region known as the “Hometown of Pears.”
A standout moment came when Cangxi Kiwifruit Co., Ltd.’s premium brand “Guimi” received official authorization to use the “Tianfu Famous Brand” logo, making it the first brand in Guangyuan City to earn this honor.

It’s a high-end regional quality brand developed by Sichuan Province, awarded through a rigorous evaluation process covering five key dimensions: quality, innovation, management, brand strength, and social responsibility. Brands that earn this recognition may display the logo on product packaging and in marketing campaigns, helping boost brand visibility and market competitiveness.
Behind Guimi’s success lies a coordinated effort across multiple sectors in Cangxi. The County Market Supervision Bureau focuses on intellectual property protection, the Kiwifruit Industry Association leads the development of industry self-discipline codes, and the Kiwifruit Industry Research Center works on varietal breeding, standardized cultivation, and deep processing. Together, they have built a brand cultivation system that combines government regulation, industry self-discipline, and technical support — offering a replicable model for high-quality development of specialty industries in less-developed counties.
At the event, Cangxi’s signature products sold briskly, with intended contract value far exceeding expectations. The dual engines of brand building and IP protection are opening broader market horizons for Cangxi’s iconic local products.— By Xu Kunlin
