At the peak of summer, the pear town blazed with energy as cold beer set the nights alight. On July 29, the “2026 Cangxi Beer Carnival” – themed “Drunk on Pear Town, Happy Beer Summer” – kicked off in grand style at Xuanwu Square, unleashing a tidal wave of summer celebration across the city.

The venue shimmered with lights and teemed with lively crowds. Ice‑cold beer, local gourmet specialities, and dazzling performances rolled out one after another, while immersive interactive activities further fuelled the sultry evening atmosphere. The carnival not only treated residents and visitors to a spirited and satisfying summer escape, but also gave a strong boost to the night‑time consumption market, injecting fresh vitality into the county’s economic development.

Running from July 29 through August 21, the series will feature over 30 local vendors in the food, beverage, and agricultural‑specialty sectors, alongside more than 20 regularly scheduled events including electronic‑music sessions and talent competitions. Beyond enriching the cultural and leisure life of the public and brightening the pear town’s night scenery, the carnival has effectively spurred cross‑sector consumption in catering, retail, and cultural tourism.
