This Children"s Day, while many kids were receiving gifts, the students of Lijiang Primary School in Cangxi, Guangyuan, were busy walking tall — on stilts! 🎋

The school held its 2nd Stilt Sports Meet, turning traditional intangible cultural heritage (ICH) into a thrilling athletic contest. Imagine: table tennis relay, dragon boat race, and basketball shooting — all performed on stilts!

The opening ceremony was a feast for the eyes. Eighty young students, waving colorful fans, flawlessly formed the characters "2026" and "Long Live China," earning thunderous applause.

The events were just as exciting. Individual challenges like dribbling, skipping rope, and hula hooping on stilts showed off incredible balance and guts. Team events — two-person ball carry, ring toss, and the crowd-favorite stilt dragon boat race — brought roaring cheers as students moved in perfect sync, shouting in unison.

In the end, 22 team trophies and over 70 individual honors were awarded.
